Ivory accomplished 10 years of classical vocal training before releasing her debut album, Satisfy Ambition in 2010 and touring across Canada, the US and into the UK and Caribbean. As a Burlesque dancer, she got her start performing in private clubs and for corporate gigs in 2004-2006, and has just recently returned to the burlesque scene in 2016 to great acclaim. Recent shows include a solo and a group number on the Pride stage in June 2016, Numerous Toronto based shows like Sinful Sundays, and touring into Ottawa this past fall. She is a resident performer at the Golden Flamingo Review, and with Les Femmes Fatales, Canada’s only Burlesque Troupe for Women of Colour. Formerly Miss Canada Plus 2007-2008, Ivory is a well known plus sized model and body positive advocate, appearing on “How to Look Good Naked Canada” and on runways across North America. Never one to leave her acting roots behind, she has made appearances on HGTV, W Network, Slice TV, and done voiceover work for Treehouse TV, CIBC Run for the Cure and the most recent campaign for Nuvaring. As a plus-sized talent and current ambassador for plus sized women she’s found it’s hard to find representation in the entertainment industry – so she strives to keep the buzz alive and to bring curvy women into the forefront.
